Five Random Facts About Me:
1. I am one of 13 kids, counting all the steps and the halfs, and holidays can get a little crazy.
2. My graduating class was less than 30 and most of us had gone to the same school since Kindergarten.

3. I have been teaching for 19 years. I started when I was 20. You do the math. Yep, I'm pretty old!
4. I have a very hard time sitting still and my family teases me for not being able to sit through an entire movie without either working on other stuff at the same time or falling asleep halfway through.
5. One of the formative experiences of my life was spending a year overseas as a high school exchange student in Germany.
Four Things from my Bucket List:
1. Learn to play bluegrass - fiddle would be awesome!
2. Travel with my husband - we have a top 10 list that includes Seattle, Boston, Washington DC, Scotland, Germany, and Prague.
3. Earn an advanced degree in science curriculum or endocrinology.
4. Become entirely debt free, including a paid-off mortgage, within the next 5 years.
Three Things I Hope for This Year:
1. I hope my new family, blended since 2013, begins to develop our own identity and traditions as we grow closer together.
2. I hope to have every single AP Chemistry student pass the AP Chem exam at the end of the year.
3. I hope for a closer walk with Christ as I learn and grow.
Two Things That Have Made Me Laugh/Cry as an Educator:
1. I have been undermined and betrayed by the students and parents that I had worked most closely with and given my heart and soul to.
2. There are also students and parents whom I have grown so close to that they are life-long friends and continue to motivate and inspire me.
One Thing I Wish More People Knew About Me:
I pray all the time - for my students, my coworkers, my boss, my husband, and my children. It is as natural to me as breathing. I may come across as tough and strong, but I know where my strength comes from; it comes from the Lord
